Music blared through my headphones that he gave me. He was so kind, too kind to me. And yet, here I was. Just listening to the words he used to sing... used to say...

Tears crawled down my nonexistent cheeks. They seeped to the edge of my boned jaw and fell. Salty feelings mixed inside me, and I felt more glitchy than usual.
What is this emotion I'm feeling?...
"I've pushed this man as far as he could go!"
Regret? Remorse? Or is it... guilt?
Do I feel guilty?
"But he lacked the words to let me know..."
Never before had I felt this. Never...
Voices rang inside my head once more. Shouting and screaming. Telling me it's all my fault.
It felt as if my soul was breaking, cracking. The pain from within was consuming me in this damned, white room!
