Burnt Bridges

When college sophomore Nora Fritz traveled to Wales for a summer internship, she didn't know what to expect. She was young, dumb, and homesick as she stumbled through the streets of Cardiff, trying desperately to get her bearings.

That's when the first curveball hit.

His name was Will Hemmingway, like the author. He was just as young, and just as dumb, but unlike Nora, he knew where he was going. She was just another tourist to him, a confused American to help through the winding streets.

Then, the second curveball.

Nora's address puts her right at the front door of Hemmingway Publishing, a business owned by none other than Will's family. As the story goes, the two fall in love, until a colossal mistake is made, prompting Nora to flee back to America, leaving Will destitute and alone. And the rest is history.
