Finally, Kurt and Kerri have the chance to be together without anyone getting in the way!

Or do they?

Everything seems fine at first, but after a mission to save a child from a group calling themselves "the Push" they get a surprise. Kerri's not sure what to do about it, but she knows it's not fair to Kurt, so she hides it for the time being.

Meanwhile, "the Push" is larger than they thought, only being the front for an extremely rich benefactor who has their hands in more than a few pies and is intent in getting their way.

Only, the consequences of the benefactor's actions may have lasting effects on Kerri, and therefore Kurt, forever.

Suddenly Kerri's gone and no one knows where she is. Kurt doesn't believe for a moment what Scott says about her running away to hide, but then, where is she, and who can find her?

If the X-Men can manage to find Kerri and to get rid of the benefactor, will they be able to make it back to life as they knew it, or will it be changed forever?

And what about the damage left behind?

Unlike his peers, Kurt's obvious physical mutation was something he was both praised and tormented for. His past is riddled with suffering, but what happens when events force him to reveal himself and tell his story to his friends in order for them to help him heal. Do they understand what it really means to be considered a monster? (I really enjoyed the show Xmen Evolution, but I think there was a missed opportunity for them to delve into Nightcrawler's backstory. This is a slightly darker tone than the show, but how I would go about his origin. Morticia Deal is the daughter of Mick Mars, born in 1967. Throughout her childhood, Tish wasn't really allowed much time with her father. Once she was a little older, she would call her dad and tell him about everything that was going on at home. Her father wanted to help her, but he didn't have a steady home or place for her to stay. When Tish was sixteen, her mother kicked her out after a fight with her step-father. The man was horrible, and Tish wasn't going to let him get away with it. Anyway, she contacted her father and met up with him for a day, before she moved herself to Seattle. She stayed there for years, where she later met her husband Kurt. She and Kurt met when he broke up with his girlfriend, Courtney. Kurt was in a bad place, and she was there for him. She and Kurt married a year later, and a year after that, she had a little boy. Their happiness didn't last long, because on April 8th of 1994, Kurt was found deceased, and Tish was devastated. He had died on the 5th, and she hadn't even known he was gone, because he had disappeared a couple of days before saying he needed to clear his head. The first person she called was her father, and he flew her straight out to where he was staying. He wanted her to stay with him, because he felt that she was too emotionally unstable to be on her own with her child. He wanted to protect them and make them feel better, even though his health was declining, and the band seemed to be failing. Emotions and family troubles was all over the place, but Mick tried his best to give his daughter and grandson a stable living environment. She was feeling lost, and he understood that she needed time to heal and become the girl she was before. He just didn't expect that the one person that would help his daughter most was the blonde lead singer that the band had fired and wanted to come back...

Kerri was just a normal teenager with maybe a little worse than normal home life, and an ok but dull school life. That is, until she one day develops an interesting problem. She gains mutant powers, and her appearance starts changing randomly with her emotions. Now she has to try and keep those under a tighter lock than before, because mutant hysteria has hit her town, and she went from an unknown quiet bookworm to the topic on everybody's tongue. Then it really hits the fan at home and she has to leave before it gets worse. Luckily, Professor Charles Xavier finds her and saves her from the streets before something unthinkable can happen to her. Unfortunately it took him a year to find her and she's withdrawn from the world, and isn't used to socializing with humans anymore. And then there's Kurt, code name Nightcrawler. He's a mutant too, and has been treated differently his whole life because of the way he looks. The best day of his life was coming to the institute and getting the hologram that hides the way he really looks so he can finally look like everyone else. But when the newest student comes to the school, he finds himself judging her by looks too. Until she pushes him into showing her his true appearance and marks his life as the first person to ever tell him that he looks better without the hologram. Then, as promised, she shows him what she really looks like and he falls for her. Too bad there's only two trimesters left of his senior year before he graduates. Will Kurt be able to pull Kerri out of her shell before he graduates and has to find what to do next with his life? And what about the pressures of high school and the anti mutant society that are always there at the edge of their life?
