Skylar Gillyat was just a regular girl with a regular life, nothing extraordinary or even noteworthy ever happened to her. Until of course, one day that all changed. This regular girl with her regular life was suddenly very irregular. She wen't crazy, or so it seemed. So her parents did what any parents would do when their regular child becomes an irregular one. They sent her away, to their town's local loony bin. Just when Skylar has accepted her new life, she is yanked right out of it and thrown into an even newer new life. But this time, instead of medication, doctors, and hospital gowns, her newer new irregular reality is full of magic, danger, and love. This is The Unexpected Reality of Skylar Gillyat.
