Lone Star Dragon

Orion and his siblings were the first of a new breed of dragons. The living symbols of American pride and national power; trapped in bondage to protect their captive mother. But when a feral dragon aiding the Confederacy offers Orion the hope of liberating his family, he must first abandon them and serve her instead.

But she is less certain of her desires and with far more at stake. As the contested messiah of the wild dragons, none more skeptical than herself, that reputation has given her the opportunity to secure her dying culture legitimacy by establishing a nation of their own.

But there are two roads to this glorious future.

The first is the way of honor, where the dragon colonies fight and die alongside men in a grand alliance in the hope that their allies will show their gratitude rather than once again turn arms upon their weakened allies.

The other is a treacherous route of deceit and betrayal, where a drawn out and ruinous war leaves the already divided nation of men in turmoil and ruins, unable to oppose the solidifying of draconic power in the west.
