Hi!! this is my first story ever on wattpad and first story ever that I'm publishing.  So I'm kind of nervous.  Ok I'm REALLY nervous.  Through out the story if anyone has any suggestions please, Please, PLEASE suggest!! ;)

 

Ok, if at any point it seems like I'm taking some idea from another story PLEASE let me know.  I AM NOT doing it on purpose, i probably just read the book, LOVED it, and subconsciously am using it.. Surprisingly i do that A LOT. So thanks!!

Lily had a interesting life.  Because it wasn't interesting.  She did not have a wonderful, horrible, exciting, or boring life.  But, that was all going to change during her freshman year in high school.  At the end of her 8th grade year it would all be decided.  She'd either move over 12,000 miles and completely start over her life (something that she didn't really mind) or switch schools to a "Grade A" high school where everything promised to be different, hopefully for the better. 9 Mile Season 1. Freshman Year by AliMarr

I started writing this my freshman year of high school, all the way back in 2004. I was fourteen. So obviously, the beginning kind of sucks. But I promise it gets better. I guess it's not really novel-esque, but hey, it's my story damn it and I dedicated my whole high school career to this thing. Yes,the names in this story are completely weird, but that is because the majority of the characters are actual people I know, myself included, therefore I have used code names, especially since not everything is true about these people. And also a lot of inside jokes, so if something does not make sense to you, that is probably why. Now I know I am not the best writer, as there have been a lot of pointless, and open story lines, but hey. This was all in good fun. And I am very proud of this story. At least some people think that it is interesting! And yes I have stolen a lot of storylines/quotes from Degrassi. That's because I was obsessed. I truly was. And yes, a lot of things are very unrealistic, but I have also edited the shit out of this story to get rid of some of the dumb stuff my young teenage self wrote. Maybe I could publish this, but would need a lot of editing, lol. Also the name 9 mile came from a dirty joke. If you really wanna know, ask me and I will tell you. So yeah, enjoy!:)

Caroline loves her new friend Lily. They do almost everything together. But as time goes on, it becomes more and more apparent that Lily is not everything she seems to be. Where did Lily come from, what is she hiding, and what's the real reason for their intense friendship? For those of you who are already familiar with my writing, I should let you know that this short story is nothing like anything else I've written. I wrote it as a birthday gift for a ten-year-old girl. She devoured the whole thing in couple of hours and when she finished, she told me she loved it. This ten-year-old girl is very girly, she likes unicorns and rainbows and magical worlds, but she also likes Sci-Fi and scary, threatening bad guys. As a result, the genre of this book is quite niche, and it may not be appropriate for every ten-year-old. There are some confrontations I would categorise as "mild peril." Spoiler Alert: If you're a parent looking for something for a child of a similar age, there are two deaths in this book and so you may want to check it out first because I recognise every child is different. (The girl I wrote is for said they weren't graphic deaths, and she was fine with both in the context of the story.) Anyway, she asked me to put it out there for others to enjoy, so ... enjoy.

But things can never stay "just good", her demons from the past will always try to rear their ugly heads, ready to pounce when Lily least expects it.
