in a land where people were separated for being different. separated into two groups spirit masters and normlings. spirit masters were the ones that could summon a monster from their spirit. they were casted away into poor villages filled with crime and poverty. some spit masters lived there life as normlings and some such as brick (my main oc right now) turned much darker. they did dirty work for money and plotted how to take back their lives from the normlings but their were to many normlings and not enough masters. Humans fear death, and have 0 options to avoid this problem in this time period. Would you want to become a vampire to live longer and experience the things that you haven't fulfilled in life? Or be a witch(animal)and get ridiculed by humans who don't except you for your religion or what you practice. You may even be drawn to werewolves and enjoy the feeling of freedom, but kill people after a transformation, and be the reason for a shortage of animals in a farm. Also, if you had the chance to kill an entire race of creatures that have opposing viewpoints would you do it? In this book you get to experience the view points of characters that are part of 1 or more group(s) of people.

Never in my life has my mom ever said something so horrible, so disgusting. Never in my sixteen years of living, have I heard something so awful and cruel. When Mom said those five words, I felt like my world was ending, and that my life was over. "You're going to high school." Now, I know what you're thinking. What's so bad about high school?
