When the Gates of Chaos had flood open, allowing darkness to loom over Ethereal, tearing the spiritual plane apart and tainting all of its souls, everything changed. An epic battle was fought against evil and darkness was soon trapped in a magical veil, but not before countless lives were lost. The Council of Celessorcials sought to bind the realms back together and abolish the threat once in for all. Moments prior to taking his last breath, an oracle uttered a prophecy that would lead the Council to hold trials for deceased humans with unfinished business, all in an attempt to find the darkest soul with the potential to bear great light. 

Centuries later, the search continues. 

Eira Hayes commits suicide to escape the misery that was her life and finds herself stuck in limbo, forced to face the lowest points of her life all in the name of redemption. If she passes her trails, she can move on and find peace. But if she fails, her soul will be sentenced to eternal damnation. 

As if it couldn't get any worse, the veil is cracking and Eira's guide, the one that can truly help her through the journey, seems to hate her with a burning passion. Fortunately, a wayward soul extends a helping hand, but it comes at a price. Eira is already dead, damned and destined for darkness. But now she is faced with a choice; succumb to said darkness, or go through the trials and risk being condemned for eternity.
