Set in an alternate future where the government rules over all and those who don't follow the status quo are sent to a prison called the Camp to work hard labor, rumors of rebellion are quickly taking root. These rebels have tried to overthrow the Citadels before, however, and they are not the heroes the Citadel citizens wish them to be. Nor has lived in a Citadel orphanage for thirteen years after she was separated from her family during the last rebellion against the government. Luna's life isn't exactly 'normal' her parents are people you would call sorcerers. They don't belong in the normal human world but the world they once lived has been taken over by the Darkness and is unsafe for young children. When Luna turns 16 she is to cross to this world to not return until she decides to have kids of her own. As at 16 her abilities start showing which is also too dangerous because Luna herself isn't what her parents expected her to be.
