Jaycee Maquez has had her heart broken one too many times by the people she loves. Loves, as in "es", as in present tense. Because despite having to pick up the pieces of her heart over and over again, she's learned that there are just some things in this world and in her life that she can unconditionally love even if hurts; And to her, that's her family. However, that unconditional love is now wearing thin as her relationship with her dad is hanging on the line with their hostility at its peak. Devon Rieze has turned over a new leaf and is now determined to make his senior year count. With the appearance of Jaycee, a childhood friend, he now knows just what to do to make his last high school year worth while. No, don't worry, he won't be making bets with his mates to break his childhood friend's heart but instead, he's set on mending it. This is a story about a girl who's dad has forgotten how to love, and a boy who's heartache has caused him to learn how to. What is in store for this odd trio? A new found love? A love thats forgotten? Or will it be just another hearth ache waiting to happen? Im not sure either lmao but hey, give it a read and find out with me(:

Nicky Peters sets out on an emotional roller coaster when she creates a melody from an old high school journal entry which develops into her debut song for her second album.
