"Gods are fickle. Gods are proud. Gods are spoilt, inconsiderate, moralless, vile-"

Whoa there! *whispers to slaves* 'How'd that one get out? Nevermind, punishments later. *now speaks aloud* Hello! Welcome! Please excuse that, I haven't broken it in yet. Y'all know how those Iridirtiques are. Hope you're ready for some qualit-

"Death to the gods! Neyana viciet! No mor-" *a loud crack sounds*

Fuck! How hard is it to shut up a mortal? Freakin' Iridirtiques. Feel all privileged just because they live a bit longer than the other ones. I mean, really. *sighs* Slaves, right? Sorry, I'm ranting.

Well, this whole thing's been ruined. Sorry for taking up y'all's time. Just keep a watch out for some strange new people.

*walks away and mutters angrily about '100 centimeter centipedes' and 'ears'*.

Through thick and thin the Law shall prevail. A new sense of purpose awaits us, children of light, in the land where it all began. The darkness in which we once cowered in fear, now curbed by the might of our endless light. Come, brothers, come, sisters. Let there be peace among the wicked, just as the Law dictates. Peace and certainty is all that you have ever longed for, little angel. A bright, stable future. A roof without holes above thy head. Acknowledgement and recognition of thy existence, feverish dreams of grandeur. Greed born from yearning, treacherous vines of rapacity taint your innocent soul. You seek a future that does not exist. Let thy fingers hold the fragile line between dream and nightmare. Let thy light navigate the path. Shall thee give in and falter, O' land of old, envelop his body in thy unending flame of chaos. Spit out nothing but an empty husk, the remnants of a smile once so bright. Shall thee prevail, O', Great Kazdel, I ask of you, the impossible - take mercy on the innocent. Don't let the radiance dim and don't let the mind turn bleak. Wake, young traveler. Bid thy farewells and burn thy bridges. It's time to say goodbye, curly head. Cross post from AO3. For a shorter and more on-point description, look no further! I had something silly written up before throwing it out in exchange for that wall of text upstairs. It's a little story "about a young, dumb sankta who's been dealt a bad hand at life, looking for his place in all this mess. The pointless search for a better future leads him far, far away from home, to a country forever ravaged by war and misery - Kazdel, the promised land where devils roam free and peace feels out of place." Anyway, it's quite lengthy, but hopefully enjoyable? Slide a comment if you want, I'll give you a tiny kiss on the forehead. Man, do I love comments. (Lastly, to point out, English is not my native language, but I don't think it'll be much of an issue ;3)

Have you ever imagined a world in which you could wield the elements of Lightning, Fire, Water, Ice, or even the elements of the Earth? Well, Mystic was dragged into the lineage and her father fought in the war against this guy named Akuma, a life-long war that started way back in roughly 1000 AD, started over Akuma having his pride be hurt and getting his ass beat time and time again, he was sick of it, so he went into an all-out deathmatch with Viktor Hikari, Mystic's distant ancestor who reshape the Kingdom of Eclipse to be a better democracy than it was with its monarchy status, the King of all Elementalist as he wielded three to four elements at once, including his primary lightning element. The ancient enemy who seemingly hid away after his fight with Mystic's father, Salvador, came knocking at his front door, and unfortunate for Salvador, most of his power was sapped by Mystic on accident due to something his father forgot to tell him about. Every time a StormCaller is born, the previous StormCaller God is sapped of most of his/her power when the baby turns six-years-old, and that the effect would last around two years. So, how will it end for Salvador? What does Akuma want? Is it Salvador's daughter? Vengeance? Bloodshed? His house? The City? Find out as you read more about how Mystic goes through physical and mental pain that no human could survive or live with, how she managed to go through all the struggle yet still manages to smile after going through all of the extreme mental and physical pain for a full seven years. To Rebuild a Mageocracy by Wordsmith-Rain
32 parts Complete
Magic: amazing, powerful, extravagant, mysterious necessary for the survival of the universe,... and ridiculously difficult to learn. Without a proper teacher, you could never even reach for the lowest hem of your own true Mage's Robe; that's the common knowledge of how Arcata, the once-great Mageocracy that ruled enough of the civilized world to call themselves the Dominant Political and Military Force on the Planet Nonith, came to be. With the decline of Mages, however, as the elder mages die out without any promising students, the memory and knowledge of magic became duller and duller with every passing generation, and the Ultimate Mageocracy itself faded alongside it. Muradin, Deity of Magic, finds themself running out of options, trying desperately to grip the fraying threads of their home dimension, delaying the inevitable as long as possible as they do the work of hundreds of thousands of mages, supplying the Mana that holds the dimension together... until one bronze-haired opportunity shows herself to them, and they find themselves in the unique position to perhaps fix everything, with only a small investment of time and energy to kick off the chain reaction... with a dose of some good old fashioned, ever-dependable, elitist mercantilism to fill in the gaps. Laura 'Morgana' D'Artagnan is a certified expert on all magics, from conjuration to artificing, enchanting, and even divine magic. Well, as far as the Arcana from Dungeons and Dragons is concerned, at least. After all, she makes and sells custom spell cards, monster cards, and custom Pre-made One-Shot Modules for dungeon masters all across the world, one hand-made batch and *edEx package at a time. To see one of them suddenly *work*, though, is the start of the craziest campaign that she's *ever* seen.
