Alice was a normal seventeen-year-old girl, that was before the accident. When Alice was younger, she was always a sheltered child. Alices parents never let her go out with friends or let anyone over. She was a girl of few words. However, if Alice spoke, people listened. Even the smallest voice makes an impact. After Alice's freak accident, she realized a marking crawling down her back.  She would ask if nurses could see it but they said it was all in her head. After Alice returns home, things begin to change. Alices sister Emily disappears one night. Along with her sister's disappearance, Alices parents begin to fight among themselves.  Will Alice start seeing things aren't always as they seem?  Will she remember how the accident happened? Will she understand not everything is like the fairytale stories parents read to their children?
