17 year old Victoria White has been living in a Foster home ever since her life begun. Abandoned, desperate and alone, Victoria is being kicked out by her ‘home’ after her 18th birthday. After leaving, she ends up in a small town, gets a minor job and goes to a high school nearby. There she meets a handsome young boy named Tyler, who's surprisingly close to everyone in school despite his superior demeanor. At that instant, she finds herself drawn to Tyler in a way that it almost makes her want to recoil from him. To her, it is an unpleasant feeling. But when Victoria is caught in the middle of a storm and has nowhere to go, Tyler violently takes her away against her own will. But Devon Parker, a classmate of Victoria that she hasn't given much of an attention, is coming to the rescue. After that incident, suddenly Victoria’s life has dramatically changed. She suddenly realizes that she seems more bound and tied with Devon now than she has ever had before. But she also keeps on noticing that Devon seems always so cold and distant. And he seems… so arrogant. Too arrogant, actually. And when he’s around her, he makes her feel something that she doesn't know anything about. She wants to be close to Devon, to help him release himself from the icy block that he had turned into. It was the least she could do to him after Devon saved her. But there was something in his midnight-like eyes that suggests something sinister and deadly about him. And Victoria was suddenly afraid of those eyes. But still… she’s willing to find out what it is with him that made her cringe inwardly. There she finally understands how ‘curiosity’ can kill a cat. And as her journey in life continues, Victoria suddenly finds out that Devon is not like any normal guy. She realizes that he’s involved with something not quite… humanly.
