Star Thomas always knew she was different, especially with her heart-shaped birthmarks. As the adopted sister of Jackie, she stayed to the side, out of the spotlight. She never truly imagined how "different" she was until a certain lilac-skinned teenager appeared in her bedroom, destroying everything she thought she knew.

Suddenly, Star is pulled into a war torn Mewni and expected to lead an renegade group of rebels to take back her kingdom from the monsters. She must learn to control the magic inside of her, or pay the dangerous price of life and death. Only one will come out victorious in the game of deceit.
