I thought about what could happen after the last death cure scene ( thomas standing by the ocean ) in this story newt isn't dead ... but he's also not by thomas side ... not jet ( why is gally able to survive a speer in the chest ? And newt died because he was stepped with a knife? .... makes no bloody scene to me so here we go ) based on James Dashner's "maze runner"

Finally, this will be a three-part book for each movie and just to clarify, no smut! Hi I wrote this fanfic first for myself but I thought why not share it on wattpad for those who want to read it as well? Basically it's a Newt fanfiction set in the Maze Runner Movie Franchise. In this fanfic, Newt and Cara are already in a relationship but their situation threatens to pull them apart. Will their love stand the trials brought about by a dying world? Short Summary Newt, Cara, and the rest of the group are rescued from the maze. Cara is given her memories back right before her, Newt and the group escape the WICKED facility. Her loyalty to her friends wavers but she soon realizes that she no longer wants to work for WICKED despite Teresa trying to convince her otherwise. They try to escape the grasp of WICKED as they make their way through the Scorch in search of the Right Arm. Cara struggles with personal issues and traumas that have been brought back along with her memories. Newt tries to hold her hand every step of the way. So, I watched The Maze Runner: The Death Cure last week - and I am so not okay with that ending! Newt should have survived! So I've taken matters into my own hands and re-wrote the ending. With Newtmas being eventually canon of course! or Where everything's the same except that Brenda, Minho and Gally arrive a minute earlier to save Newt's life and even make it out of the city with the perfect cure made from Thomas' blood. Everyone was taken away. All she ever wants was for them to come back to her. Her biggest dream is to stand near the ocean with everyone she loves next to her, but even when they do come back they keep trying to slip away. Summaries are so hard to write....anyways so this story is based off of the movies, considerably The Death Cure. This is also BOOK 2 so I very much recommend to read the first book before reading this one just so you understand some of the things that is being said. Just to be clear I am not British, so please forgive me for Newt's speaking lines. I didn't want to curse in this book either except for the occasional 'hell' but instead of cursing I like to put 'bloody'. I just wanted you guys to be aware of that so that you don't think I'm trying to be stereotypical. Thank you so much for reading this book, I hope you will be able to enjoy it.Complete
What if?
What if... Teresa never went with Thomas when she died, but instead, got the serum and went to try to save Newt without anyone knowing. Everyone would be gone to the Safe Heaven thinking Newt and Teresa are dead. But 1 month later, Newt woke up, healthy again and cured. Newt and Teresa then make a team to try and get back to the Safe Heaven where is everyone. This is an alternative end for The Maze Runner : The Death Cure (because I'm clearly still not over Newt's death and I'm so mad that they killed him, so yeah...)
