Living a normal life is easy. 
As long as the universe doesn't like to use you as its personal entertainment that is. 

It seems that no matter how hard Alex tries to blend in there's always something that makes him just a little different. Be it his obsession with modern musicals, his taste in books, his annoying case of permanent bed-head or the fact that he has been personally chosen by some ancient diety to fulfil an age long prophecy that makes literally no sense to anybody. 

Just another day for Alex Carver. Well... except the prophecy thing,  that's a little new.
