“So?” she asked impatiently after I failed to acknowledge her. “What?” I asked carelessly. “Are we gonna create accounts tonight or what?” she said, with a bit of annoyance in her tone. I sighed and turned to her. “I don’t know.” “Why not?” she demanded, grabbing my shoulders and shaking me with a little too much force. I pushed her off and pulled up the shirt sleeve she had just pulled down from her rather violent gesture. “I don’t know anything about it, Alana, and I don’t really want to know anything about it. What’s the point of making an account if I don’t have any motivation to learn how to use it?” “I don’t see what you have against it,” she sneered. “Would it kill you to put yourself out there every once in awhile?” I looked down at the ground, letting my hair fall in front of my face. She had a point. Alana snickered halfheartedly as she continued. “I knew you’d chicken out.” I looked up as her feet swiveled around and walked away. “Alana, wait.” She froze mid-step and turned her head slightly. I took a deep breath and swallowed. “I’ll do it.”
