Mystery
A short horror genre film screenplay I made for this 20-minute assignment for theater. It takes place in a suburban home and equally suburban neighborhood. With white brick houses and pretty pavement driveways. Where everything seems so perfect outside while behind closed curtains lies darker intentions. And the perfect time for a sleepover. But something's wrong with the power grid. Alt Ending 1: The father leaves the house altogether. The daughter is the killer and she gets her revenge on her friend. Alt Ending 2: There is only one killer that is revealed to be the father. Alt Ending 3: There is only one killer that is revealed to be the boyfriend and he is holding the head of the dead father. Alt Ending 4: The mystery killer is the other girl's father and both fathers are revealed as the killers. Alt Ending 5: The mystery killer turns on the father and kills him.

It's 1925, the neighborhood is safe, crime is low, and security is high for both Karson and Lesley Hendrickson who are two famous actors in hollywood and of course their daughter, Katelynn, whom they treasure the most in their lives. She means the world to them, she would grow up, maybe become a writer, actress, or get married to a wonderful man and start a family if life is good with her. But, what if life comes out with its true form? Will life be unfair just as they say it is? It's Katelynn's seventh birthday, all her cousins, aunts and uncles are invited, everything's going as planned and the adults go to a Masquerade party that night. But, something's wrong...a murder happened in the middle of the night! No one saw. Nobody knows who the culprit of the murder is and things have taken for a turn...Katelynn is the one who was murdered, and if that's not enough, the murderer is on the lose! Stewart Cuffman and Evan Stiles and their crew are out on this cold murder case. Their crew believes that Bryant, their current suspect, is definitely the culprit, but Stewart and Evan find some suspicious things about the crime scene-fully convincing them that Bryant is not the culprit. Unfortunately, they come to a dead end when questioning Bryant for answers about the murder. Will they be able to gather enough evidence to bring Katelynn to justice or will Bryant be put behind bars with a murder on the lose?
