Subject No. 29596, or Sage as she secretly prefers, is a seventeen-year-old girl growing up in The Compound, a society hidden beneath solid metal walls. The Compound was established to give the human race a fighting chance against an outside world festering with radiation, boiling heat, and deadly disease. Despite such generous protection, Sage begins to question the ethics and rules of the world she resides in. After uncovering dangerous secrets Sage must choose between her freedom or her safety.
