"Our game was supposed to start an hour ago." He took a sip from the whiskey bottle in his hand before glaring toward me. "Where have you been?" His voice was frighteningly calm. I froze in my tracks and glanced at the wall. I heard the squeak of his recliner as he stood up and made his way over behind me. He reached around me taking hold of my chin and pulling toward him, forcing me to turn toward him. The hair at the nape of my neck stood up, but I swallowed back the lump that formed in my throat. I jerked my head away from him and took a couple steps back.
"You can't escape from me, my dear." He took a moment to look at me and then turned back for his chair, tipping back the bottle on his way. "You have no where to go."
