Gracelyn "Grace" Wade has lived a pretty normal life as long as she could remember. She lives with her mother, Zoë Wade, her five siblings, and her cousin, in their Main home along the coast in Bar Harbor. Grace has no memories of her father, but she's been told that he's a great man and that he cares for her dearly. That was something that they had to figure out for themselves. So Zoë's eldest son, Damian Wade, son of Hephaestus, and the Satyr, Grover Underwood, came to take Grace and the twins, Artemis and Levant Wade, to a "summer camp" that Damian has been attending since he was twelve. It's there that the real story begins.

Now her life is full of fighting monsters, hero training and sing-a-long campfires. She'll experience love and heartbreak, loyalty and betrayal, and that family isn't just bout blood, it's also about the bonds she shares with those who mean everything to her. And it's because of these experiences that Grace will have to make the ultimate sacrifice for the one she loves.
