"I have this..proposition for you," he speaks, his hot breath tingling in my ears. My eyes narrow as I cross my arms. "And what might that be?" I search his eyes for any possible hint in them.
"Well," he chuckles, "every week, when the lunch bell rings, I get to ask you a simple question. Tell me Scarlet, have you ever heard of Truth or Dare?" I snort so loudly, a couple of kids walking pass stop in their tracks. "Dude, this is the twenty-first century. Everyone has," my eyes do a one-eighty roll.
Nic glares at me and clears his throat before adding, "Very well. As I was saying, I will ask you to choose one option. If you choose truth, you have to answer my questions truthfully. And if you choose dare, -" "Yeah, yeah. I know the rules. I have to do anything you say. How long will this go on for?"
He smirks and adds, "As long as I say. Unless of course, you don't want a fake boyfriend?" "No!" I shout little too loudly. "No, I do."
Nic turns on his heel and starts walking away before shouting back to me, "Pleasure doing business with you! And remember," he turns around to wink, "choose wisely."

When Scarlet Bailey desperately needs a fake boyfriend for multiple social gatherings, courtesy of her business incorporated, socialite parents, the school's golden boy, Nic Wild makes a deal with her. The rules are simple, you either choose truth, or dare. Equal consequences, equal risks, equal opportunities for drama to occur. Just remember, whatever you do, choose wisely.
"I wouldn't mind watching you. Maybe we could tan together this summer." He suggested. "Without having tan lines." I could feel the smirk playing on his lips. I lightly slapped his chest.
"Don't ruin my mood with your cockiness."
"I think I made it a lot better."
"Well, keep going and you'll have to deal with your boner yourself." I teased.
"Why does it always come back to my boner?" He asked with a smile playing on his lips.
"Because it's just so huge." I said absentmindedly.
"Is it now?" He raised a brow at me.
I stripped myself away from him and pouted as I folded my arms across my chest. "That's not what I was supposed to say."
"Hmm," He nodded. "What were you supposed to say then?"
"That it's just as annoying as you." I laughed.
SUMMARY:
After the death of her father, Blake moves in with her estranged mother and twin sister. Coping with her father's death was one thing and being involved in dirty work is another. Add a bad boy to fall for on her plate and things can't be more messed up.
She tries to start a new life but ghosts from her past just aren't ready to leave her. Question is, can she make it through and have a happy ending or not?
Give it a few chapters, nobody gets the hang of writing their first book immediately. It gets better story wise and writing wise, I promise.
