Jack and Ann have taken me on a great adventure full of mystery and incredible technology, I hope you'll join us. I know you have a lot of reading choices, but if you have space left in your literary adventure cup, please join Jack and Ann as 2021 turns into 2022, happy reading! __ The demon whispers inside Jack's mind. "They are not worthy, they are cattle, these new humans you covet. The so-called creator has betrayed you, replaced you with these organic imitations. Slaughter them all." It's funny, not in a ha-ha funny way, but a sad, my madness doesn't make sense type of way, Jack thinks, because wasn't he human? Worse still, the voice comes with impulses that are hard to resist. Violence usually ensues. That's why he joined the military. A way to channel his urges into mind-numbing physical effort and war. It works for a time. But alcohol and fighting can only carry on for so long. Finally, he realizes, his only way out is suicide. But when he opens his eyes, he's in the In-Between. The creator has other plans for him, and she won't take no for an answer. Apparently, this isn't his first life and if he doesn't free her from her prison, it won't be his last. His curse is to be reborn without end, without rest, without memory. Only madness. Now Jack is on the run from forces he doesn't understand. It's a new world. The mundane replaced by ethereal artificial intelligence, spontaneous virtual realities, and homicidal bible salesmen. But the creator promises the demon's voice will disappear as soon as he finds the right girl, the right bond. After that, they just have to escape the clutches of those who hunt them, find the Isle of Song, and free the creator from her prison. Or maybe this time, in this life, Jack will figure out what true freedom is. Come along on this action-packed thriller as Jack fights to remember who he is, tries to end an eternal war, and atone for sins he doesn't remember...yet.

Asher, the responsible and strong boy who has known her all her life and Ed, the orphaned rebel who loves to stir up trouble. Then there's her, Marla, stubborn, fiery and just plain lost. "Why are my hands getting warmer?" As far as Alicia was concerned, she was the daughter of a rich businessman attending high school. Then, she feels off and at the same time, she's not. One week later, her best friend brought her to another world(s). This is Alicia Bell's tale. --- Wizards of the Otherworldly Court is a multiple worlds and protagonists isekai web novel series about the Otherworldly Court, an inter-dimensional (or world-hopping, you get the idea) organization made up of people of all ages, gender, and race from many parallel or different worlds. They are granted elemental-like magic powers and call themselves 'Court Wizards'. They embark on many worlds in the mission to make them better places whether it'd be covertly in the shadows or out in the open working together with the many kinds of people living there all while having an adventure unlike any other. These are their stories. Basically, it's isekai to MULTIPLE worlds but each book after Wizards of the Otherworldly Court: Alicia focuses primarily on one world while also discussing its lore in detail. Book Alicia is the introduction containing the essential worldbuilding of the Otherworldly Court universe you need to know while shoving in as many characters and worlds as I can. Also, each book will have a different main character, sometimes more than one in a single book, like JoJo. --- Note: A bug was triggered which caused this book to be split into two. Check my profile for both parts. --- 2nd place winner in the Star Gazing Awards fantasy category in 2020. --- Cross-posted in WordPress, RoyalRoad, Sufficient Velocity, and Rainobu.

So that was the deciding factor. It became my inspiration, my reason for resorting to such seclusion. I had always needed my own space for working, which is why even when I worked in the hospital I never allowed for a nurse or doctor or any other person to be in room, except me and the patient. I am unable to perform my work with prying eyes staring me down and questioning me, questioning my methods and maybe even questioning my humanity. Thus, when she stopped living here by my side, I took that as my cue to quit working in the hospital. ---- Dr. Roy Andrews, a highly credible neurosurgeon has a knack for solving cases of comatose. His methods, however, are questionable. And highly unorthodox. He enters the patient's minds. Despite that factor, he has never once messed up a case. He has never once lost somebody. However, when patient Kester Montgomery arrives under his care, the circumstances of his case baffle Dr. Andrews, leading to the possibility of a detrimental outcome. As Andrews ventures through the depths of Kester's mind, he finds out what working on a case of mental instability is like. ***Cover photo does not belong to me.
