These are the words you'd expect from a teenager or young adult. Meeting a person that you want to spend the rest of their life with.
Not from a man who was 45 years old.
The day had been normal, and all I had wanted to do was go hang out with my best friends. When my dad called a family meeting in the living room, we all knew it was serious. We hadn't had one of those since Mom passed.
My two brothers and my younger sister were ecstatic. I was too, just a little hesitant. Dad hadn't had a girlfriend since Mom, and suddenly he had found another woman.
I still stayed beside him, supported him, and met Jenny. She was amazing, and I can totally see why Dad likes her.
I'm still beside him. But now that I knew I would have a stepbrother, I was even more hesitant.
Now imagine my surprise when not only was there one stepbrother to meet the day I met Jenny, my dad's girlfriend.
But four.
And they are the most popular boys in school.
And all but one hate me.

You see, there are these apps where anybody can write books, stories and the sort and one day, scrolling the FB (which I don't usually do but I kill time with it on occasions) my eyes fell on a title that made me scoff. The title, 'Mafia in Love'. I remember I laughed terribly then, one of the very few times I laughed, or smiled for that matter. Some people truly feel they know anything about Mafia.
