Piper Connors discovers that she is more than just an average 15-year-old girl, she has been selected to join a special training academy for Military operations, along with her 18-year-old brother, Daniel. Piper makes a life-changing discovery; the so-called 'Government' are trying to stage war, against a city Piper never knew even existed, until now. Along with her new friends, Piper must break free of her chains and fight for whats right, to save those she loves and those around her. Along the way Piper realises the more she gets into the situation, the more her family do too. Especially when someone in her family betrays her to the corruptness of the Dark-Side. But she is more than just a Soldier in a war, they're testing her like a lab rat, tests after tests, until they bring out the chemicals. Will Piper have enough time to stop their plan or will it begin the never ending darkness? After all Blood is thicker than Water.

Luna Lexis is sixteen years old. But she is unlike most sixteen-year-old girls you've ever met. Luna has no idea what the outside world is like. Since she turned twelve, Luna has been living in a scientific base dedicated to quarantining people from all around the country of New Delta in a dystopic North America. Years ago, a disease spread across the population, killing thousands. Nobody knows where it came from. They call it the Black Fever, and it has the ability to kill a person within days. Luna has had the Black Fever since she was twelve. Or, so she has been told. While the scientists who run tests on her daily tell her it's a miracle she's survived this long, she can't help but feel that something is wrong. She hasn't felt sick a day in her life. So how could a deadly disease be coursing through her veins? What are the scientists not telling her? But when Luna comes in contact with Carson Cole, everything will change, secrets will be revealed, and people may fall in love.
