Rosalyn Jinnings is what you'd consider a pretty normal sixteen year old sophomore in high school. She's smart, has a 4.0 GPA, is at the top of her class, and colleges are hounding after her, and she plans to spend a happy high school life in her little town in Michigan state, but her parents have different plans: they sent her to Freedom Academy, which is located about 2,000 miles away in northern London, England. During Rosalyn's time in Freedom Academy, she quickly makes a best friend, and meets an attractive, but mysterious weirdo. She soon begins to notice that her new friend, Eva was acting rather odd; she wasn't returning back to their dorm room until late at night, she was beginning to act temperamental when touchy subjects or anything related to blood was brought up in conversation, and what stuck out the most was that Eva completely disappeared on full moons and wasn't returning until mid-morning. After Eva begins these suspicious antics, the weirdo who went by the name of Reedus and Rosalyn team up to find out what is up, to find out that it's not only Eva acting odd, but also another handful of students at Freedom Academy.

Troubled.

Eve is 16 years old. She has normal friends and normal teenage habits. She didn't sneak out or smoke anything. She cussed sometimes and had a guy best friend she did secret things with. Her parents are Catholic, so they see her normal teen behavior as acting out beyond reason and continuously look for somewhere she can be 'fixed'. Her therapist suggested a place that looked like camp. Two strangers come get her in the middle of the night and bring her to the worst place she has ever been to in her life. When she comes back to live with her best friend, she is nothing like she was when she left, but he promised he'd wait for her.
