Alexa is destined to save her people, its a fate forced upon her and she's accepted it. Saving the world depends on her ability to lie and scheme her way into the good grace of the son of her enemy. Alexa is sent to a typical boarding school where she must keep up the cover of being a good girl from a small Alberta town. Without her full training and her inevitable doubt in herself, and what her father is thinks is right for the clan how can she bare the weight of her world?

Victore Academy boarding school is a lot of things. To the outside world, it's the heaven of schools. For some students, it's an experience they'll never forget. For others, it's the place to start their careers. And maybe for a few, it's the peak of their lives and really as good as it's going to get for them. And for me... well, I'll need a bit more than this to talk about that. But before you step in, here's a few things that everyone makes note of: 1. The students have secrets. And money. It's hard to tell what more of, honestly. 2. Don't get a room on the West Side of the girl's dorms. The birds around that private property lake house downside from campus don't stop chirping at 5AM. It's unpleasant, to say the least. 3. Avoid Mr. Labadee's classroom at all costs outside of lessons, especially past fifth period. It's better off if you're left in the dark with this one. 4. That asshole from Spain that terrorizes all the young freshmen is not hot. However, girls do make note of the fact that he works out post seventh period and right before first, near the track field. 5. The Victor's Tournament happens every year for all the senior year students. It's a pretty big deal. 6. Killer Magic Academy
You either become brilliant, or you get killed. When Alyssa was invited to a boarding school to learn magic, she was expecting something out of a Harry Potter book. She wasn't expecting to become a master of a power and learn how to survive and fight with it. She wasn't expecting that most of the people in the school would kill the people with too much power. She wasn't expecting to be one of the most powerful students to ever walk the school. Everyone at Aptitude Academy has power within, and everyone in the school will either become brilliant, or be killed by the other students. Alyssa thought she was signing up to learn to help the world, but she has to master her power quickly, before the people who already have mastered their powers come after her. There's a prophecy that everyone seems convinced that it's about her, a fight club that she accidentally signed up for, the dragon that lives in the arena, and the threat that terrifies the entire school. There's only one person who can stop the threat before it's too late - the subject of the prophecy. Unfortunately for Alyssa, no one knows how to stop the threat or what exactly it is.
