Some of the things feel like they're worded weirdly in this story, but I'm not exactly sure how to fix that. Good thing I don't plan to become a professional writer or whatever. Anyway, this is a story based off the Greek love story of Amaryllis and Alteo. I think it's interesting, and flowers provide great symbolism in my opinion. Short stories are fun to write, and I thought a rewrite of a good tale would be good for a first story on Wattpad. I wanted to focus on the way Amaryllis felt for Alteo and the sacrifice she was willing to make for his love. I only wish I could have worded it better.

Life was dull, boring, and mechanical. I’ve always wondered if this would change. If something interesting will happen. I always hoped something interesting will happen. A falling meteor that would destroy half of town, an alien invasion, or even the Apocalypse. Anything, just to relieve me of this monotonous life I lead. “Urgh,” I groaned as I reached over to turn off the alarm clock that sounded like a hundred sirens in the early hours of dawn. They used my vulnerability against me. They used that weapon, to make me accept their stupid idea. And I of course, accepted it, I didn't even know what they were going to do. With him being the only Arkan left, what would become of the Arkan throne? Without him being married and of no son to take over his spot, what would bece of the little kingdom? To only add to their troubles, word had been going around that a prisoner of war had gotten lose. No matter what, she couldn't get away. She was captured again and brought to the Kings heed. Instead of killing her outright, he bought her life and turned her into a maid. She gets along great with all the other workers. Well almost all of them. Because she wasn't from their kingdom, most avoided talking to her. While she loved staying at the castle, she didn't like one part. Her feelings.
