Tracks, none. Sound, none. Scent... I exhaled. If it wasn't for the tree kid, I might have been able to pick up her scent. Now, all I could smell was the boy, traces of fragrance left on me by the short moment our bodies had collided. It wasn't a bad odour, quite the opposite actually, but that only made it worse. The gentle, pleasant scent made it impossible to focus my olfactory. It was infuriating. Seriously, why would a guy smell like that? Only women should be allowed to have such a fragrance. Why-

I exhaled again. Who was I kidding. It was me I was angry with. If I had only picked up that boy's smell earlier, if I had only spotted him earlier, I could have prevented him from falling on top of me. Well, the kid would have fallen anyhow, just not on me.

PrehistoricFuturistic? Idk boii, apparently that's possible.

The room was pitch black but I could still see his handsome face. And even if I were put in a crowd and blindfolded, I would still be able to find him. His musky scent wafted across the bed to my nose. My favorite scent in the world. His eyes were on my face and I stared back. It felt like we were communicating with our eyes. Mine was saying "why won't you love me back?" and I was sure that his was saying "why is this dork staring at me?". At the sad thought I closed my eyes and took solace in the silence in the room, calming my raging emotions and fighting the threatening tears. I was half successful when I heard his deep voice. My eyes fluttered open at once as if they had been waiting for him to speak. "I'm sorry for what I said about you earlier" "It's fine" I managed to croak "I was scared and confused but not anymore" I did not understand what he meant. I looked at his face at the other side of the bed trying to decipher what he was trying to say but his face was blank. "Goodnight Marco" he said and closed his eyes. I lay in the same position, looking at the now sleeping figure. I was confused and curious. What do you mean by not anymore? I asked in my mind as if he could somehow hear me. But he couldn't. And I wasn't brave enough to ask. Afraid that my heart would be shattered again by the same person I had fallen madly in love with. The only person my soul longed for. The only person my body lusted for. I lay in that position, watching him sleep till my eyes gave up and closed on their own. ****************************************************** VOTE

"I'm not afraid of you," I tried to say confidently. He smirked while placing his hands on my hips. My breathing stopped for a few seconds but then continued when I remembered my goal was to be courageous. He licked a spot on my neck, and I narrowed my eyebrows in confusion. He gently wrapped a hand around my neck. "You might sound confident, but I can taste the fear," he whispered into my ear. His voice was very intimidating and almost sent tingles down my spine. ALMOST. But I was done being afraid of this monster. I was done feeling inferior to him. "There's no doubt that you taste fear. Here's the real question: is it my fear that you taste, or is it yours?" I asked bravely. I gasped when he tightened his hold a little and pinned me to the wall. I stared into his cold eyes as he stared into mine. He smirked when our breathing came to a match. Then he did the last thing I would expect: he kissed me. Warning: This story has mature contents.
