Xavier's Curse

there once was a maiden
a sight to behold years then
a lovely rose she was indeed
no beauty superior could intercede

thy fair skin gifted by moonlight
a face carved by angels' might
with a strange sweet smile painted
not an inch of her not blessed

not a stranger that passed by-
went without a wonderstruck sigh
with voices filled with awe-
"suddenly she's all that I saw"

little did they know
they knew nothing, no
her giftedness was a curse
her sweet smile's set in a purse

she draws suitors everywhere she stays
ignorant that they're just games she plays
but still unable to look away
from the maiden that sings at bay

but well the future tells
still, look upon her wicked wells
the paths of fate she shouldn't have touched
a prick of an arrow was all that she vouched

she was cursed to be unwanted
by the only man she'll love
he'll turn her back on her disgusted
by twisted fates that worked above

she'll weep in pain and agony
and bear the burdens brought
she'll fight for the man that made her lonely
and fight against fate's plot
