"The city of stars has the darkest shadows."

Born in a secluded town on the western edge of the Rocky Mountains, Skylar was used to the quiet peace that her humble beginnings brought her. However, following the death of her beloved father, her step-mother drags her half-way across the world to a notorious city know as Starlight: the City of Stars. 

Suddenly thrust into a world filled with people with extraordinary abilities and gangs that rule the city's politics from a shadows, Skylar finds herself deep in an underground war over power. When one of the leaders takes a special interest in her, she finds that there is more to her and the people of Starlight than she initially believed.
