The world has always been grey for me. When I was ten years old, my mother told me the joys of love. How when you meet your soulmate, life suddenly becomes colorful. I watched the way my mother's eyes sparkled when talking about my father, and how my father kissed my mother after a long work trip.
I wanted that.
Three years later, a pair in my grade discovered they were soulmates. When people asked about it, they described . . . colors. Colors painting everything. The sky, our eyes, the whole world.
I waited for my turn.
