Every night the dreams come. Getting stronger. 
I was afraid I'd gone mad. Read too many books and fell down the rabbit hole just like Alice. 
I dreamt of witches, wizards and castle surrounded by clouds. I dreamed of birds bursting into flame and ash. 
Maybe I had gone mad but I suppose I didn't really care.

Wren lives a life few can relate to. Disgusted, ashamed and frightened, her parents locked her away. An abomination. Thats what she was. Something outside the laws of reality. Something these people could jut not accept. Flames randomly burst from her fingers, blue light illuminates her room when her excitement peaks and carefully uttered words from books she had been given tell the stories of lives she envied. The only thing her parents would allow inside that room except the daily porridge which was her breakfast.

Wren was never sad for in her little room she could be whoever she wanted to be. Go wherever she wanted to go. If only she opened a book and read.All Rights Reserved

The wings had moved until they curved around them both and shut out a lot of the light. Its face was so near hers that she could feel its breath brushing against her skin. "Please just look at me for a second. Just look. I'm not going to hurt you." One of the hands grabbed her chin and forced her head to turn, and then she was looking straight into a pair of dark brown eyes. It had a human face too. She had been expecting something monstrous or ghastly, and the surprise made her falter for a moment. He looked young, with a bad haircut and an earnest expression on his face. "I'll let go of you, okay? Just don't lunge around like that anymore, you'll get hurt." He whispered.
