Shelly, an overweight teen that lacked self-confidence, only felt like she was truly herself through music. A summer of spontaneous adventures with her sister's boyfriend gave her a bit of newfound confidence and pushed her to be more willing to take risks. When the drummer next door gives her a mixed tape, she realizes that the riskiest thing for her is letting someone all the way into her life. It isn't long before they begin to exchange words they thought they'd never say out loud. With that, she is pulled from her guarded grounds and into a long, music-filled adventure where she gradually learns a thing or two about life, love, growing up, acceptance, and everything in between.
Elliot Jensen and Elliot Fintry have a lot in common. They share the same name, the same house, the same school, oh and they hate each other but, as they will quickly learn, there is a fine line between love and hate.
