"Hello, Reyna." Every fibre within my body froze to ice at the seemingly harmless words that echoed in the café. If any other lips uttered the phrase, my panic would have been reduced to a sardonic cackle in return. However, in this moment, it felt as if my limbs and thoughts were confined in a constricting cage of shock. My breathing quickened to match the relentless drum of my heart, which threatened to pulsate it's way out of my body. Refusing to show unwanted emotion, I stoned my empty gaze, while painting on a bittersweet grin. "Hello, Potential Child Predator, who keeps following me around London." He growled loudly, and began to stalk towards me like a lion waiting to pounce on it's prey. Guess he's not one for sarcasm. Throwing a £5 note at the till, I stood up and sprinted out of the door, absconding from his reaching clutches. Despite his age, his feet beat on the path rapidly, and I thanked past-Reyna for those 'How to Increase Your Stamina' YouTube videos I watched once. Now, of course Yours Truly will never admit to being afraid. I have had many concerning ideas that could probably get me arrested; but, a phrase like 'fear' has never crossed my mind. Let's say I was struck by the sudden realisation of urgency in the situation, which made my drop my milkshake like it's hot. » Reyna Hyde is a sharp-tongued, fearless teen who makes a living the only way her and her twin brother, Jordan, know how: hack companies and steal, steal, steal. But they soon realise that hacking into the odd Travel Lodge for a few extra pennies will only get them so far. They have to aim bigger and better. However, their plan to steal from the most powerful man in Europe quickly fails, and Alexander Shallows ends up with three vital pieces of information- a house, an IP address and two faces. His goal- get his money back and get vengeance on those who make him look like a fool. Their goal- survive.

We were a team. A confidence team, gaining your trust and ripping you off for every penny we could squeeze out of you. Stealing millions between pickpocketing, elaborate schemes against the rich, and knocking off banks; we made it big. We were good, really good at what we did. This time we were too greedy. We couldn't pass up a 4 million dollar art con. Each couple would have walked away with 2 million dollars and we could have settled down and finally started the family we had talked about for years. But he disappeared......in the middle of the night, abandoning me. Until he returned with a bullet hole in his arm and desperation in his eyes. Begging me to help him one last time, but could I ever forgive him? Could I ever look past his betrayal of leaving me in Tennessee to fend for myself and fight off the cops myself? ●●●●●●●●●●●●●● "What were the first words you ever spoke to me?" He asked softly, his thumbs wiping away the wetness from my cheeks. "No." I choked out. "Don't! I don't want to say it." "You said...Hi, my name is Alexis and I just moved into my grandparent's house across the street. Can I play with you? And I knew the moment I laid eyes on you...." "You were 10 years old, you didn't know shit." I croaked. "I may have been 10, but I knew a beautiful girl when I saw one. And you blew the rest of the world out of the water. I may have saved you by leaving you in Tennessee, but at least you still had your grandparents. I had no one if I didn't have you."
