Sometimes I sit and wonder how I'm still alive. I shouldn't be, I haven't exactly had the greatest childhood, or life for that matter. Tore away from my parents, sent to work at Auschwitz while my parents were one of Hitler's slaves. I never saw them again. Of course, My mind only went to them in my dreams, as I barely remember their faces. All this treachery because I'm Jewish, and one person didn't agree with me. My name is  Alicja Cizek, and this is my story of surviving the impossible.

The thing I want more than anything is far out of my reach. Why can't I just die? Warning: mention of rape, suicide, and abuse. Also, this is a boy's love story.
