MY EX AND I

I got a text one night saying he had cheated on me.
Who with? I thought.
I confronted him the next day, but he lied to me.
What for? What did he have to hide.
And now he's my best friend. I don't trust anyone more than him.

But what I have to learn is that not everyone has the same mindset as me, people tell lies to get what they want. They trick people to do what they want. And you get stuck just like me in a toxic relationship, that drains all the energy from your body. And all your doing is checking if someone is alright and it turns into a fight, what for?

People say that love never dies out, but mine died out a long time ago.

But, all you have to remember is to be true to yourself, be true to your heart.
