"Yes I'm almost gone, just turning one las-" The voice was cut off as he rounded the corner, walking right into me.
"Watch where you're going!" I growled out venomously.
The man looked shocked but as I got up he quickly moved towards me and I felt something enter my chest as he quickly rushed by me. Looking down slowly to my chest I saw the shiny black handle of the dagger that had me carelessly impaled into me. I turned to look at the man, smiling as I pulled the knife out of my chest, "Was that supposed to hurt?" The look on my face was probably one of a psycho but I didn't care.
As I slowly pulled the dagger out of my chest I watched the man's eyes widen with horror. "Y-you should be dieing. What the hell girl!!"
"No," I stated, irritated at his antics, "I shouldn't be dieing. I am doing exactly what I should be."
I could feel the blood dripping out of my wound but it would heal over soon. They always did. As I started walking towards the man, the beautiful bloody dagger in hand, he started to stagger backwards like a fearful child; afraid of being hurt.

The Apocalypse
Hi all, I have decided to discontinue this book, so it is not finished. (Read at your own risk) I'm going to be rewriting it from the beginning, in hopes to improve it greatly. It will be uploaded as a brand new book so feel free to check it out, please be aware it might differ slightly from this book as it is only taking inspiration from it Many thanks for all the reads this book has brought and with high hopes for the rewrite i bid you goodbye ----------------------------- Everything seemed to go silent as I heard them breaking through the door before anyone else, adrenaline pumped through my body as i jumped up and pulled out my machete. i ran over to help the group protect the others but realised that there was too many zombies to take on , my heart beating so fast, i turned around, grabbed Rose and went running over to the window. i looked down and saw the breath taking jump to the next building making me fear what was coming next and that was our only escape. i turned around, slicing a zombies head right off its neck , protecting Wen from getting bitten. As she swung her axe right over my head , hitting another zombie square in the head, sending a spray of blood all over the back of me. "We have to jump!" i screamed at everyone at the top of my lungs, i looked around to find at least 75% of our group either eaten or eating some one else. i knew i was being too slow in making my decisions, but all i could concentrate on was the sound of my heart beating in my chest. i pulled nicol to the floor and away from the zombie that nearly chewed off her head and watched her send a knife into its head with what seemed no effort at all. Then i turned and moved quicker than i have before to stop the zombie that i saw coming for me from the corner of my eye, i stopped dead in my tracks as my heart sank into the bloody stream of my circulation of life. I flinch and look back into his eyes. I feel hurt by his words and I don't know why, but I know he sees it in my eyes. His faces flashes with regret but it's quickly covered up with his faces going back to it's hard cold look. I feel my heart stop and my face go pale. His look terrified me making me hold my breath. "Breath." He orders. I start to breathe again and just blink at him. "Now go." He orders me again. I flinch involuntarily at his tone and jump back slightly. "Please don't let me walk home alone." I beg in a quiet voice, looking down at my feet. The next thing I see are his black combat boots right in front of my shoes. I look up into his eyes and he looks down into mine confusion written all over his face. "How come you aren't running yet?" He questions searching my eyes. "I just can't walk home alone, please I'm scared." I hear him chuckle. "You aren't afraid of me? What can possibly be scarier than me?" He asks. "Well, I know you will keep me safe." "Why is that?" He questions raising an eyebrow at me. "You haven't hurt me." "Yet." He mutters, but I roll my eyes.Concluída

He wraps his arms around me securely and that makes me smile finally. "There's my pretty wife," he says and as if I wasn't already smiling big that got me smiling ever harder. I turned the knife from him so that he wouldn't try and ram into it, killing himself. Instead, he saw the position of the knife, that pointed towards me, and smiled the most sinister smile. "Thanks." He said and still rammed into me, driving the knife through my body like a knife through butter, igniting a sharp and brutal pain. Carter had been watching everything. He watched as his brother leaped at the Panther to protect him. He had watched as the anger had burnt out Max, and he had gotten control over the blade. He watched as his brother had been nearly killed by the monster. But he could do nothing but watch as the dark figure jumped at Carter. But he didn't kill him as Carter had first suspected. Instead he transformed mid-air and grabbed the bird before it took flight. And Brandon appeared behind him when Max and Carter landed on the ground. "Carter! Shift. He just wants answers and help. You have to shift." What Brandon said let Max get up and release the large bird. Carter didn't waste a second. He jumped up and flew away from Max, shifting into an Owl in air. Max watched as the shifting figure stuck its feet ahead of him. When he landed Carter was at the weapons rack, and pulling a red bow from the wall. "Where's the Lioness?" Carter said, as he turned around. "Right here," and Carter followed the sound to find a girl with waist length hair and red eyes. She sat on one of the electronic tables, and was hard to see, even with Carter's increased night vision. Without another word, he tossed her the bow and watched as she caught it. He watched as she hopped off the table and quietly walked around him and the scientists. He noticed a brooding figure approach Brandon out of the corner of his eye. Jasper stiffens in his seat as I press the metal of the blade against his back. "Don't say a word. Come with me, right now." Of course, he doesn't listen. I had hoped a dagger to the kidney would be incentive enough, but even the threat of death doesn't graze a Devereaux ego. He turns toward me to argue, facing away from the goon that's been eyeing him across the bar. I doubt he even noticed. The man whispers something to his sketchy friend, pointing at Jasper. No time for discussion. I grab his arm and press the tip of the knife harder, just barely breaking the skin. He winces, realizing I mean business, and gets up. The idiot prince seems to finally get the memo, running alongside me until we're a safe distance away. "What the hell was that about?" his ragged breaths take the sting out of his words. I've never seen him like this before. Cheeks red, chest heaving, hunched over himself on the stump of a tree. For once, he looks like an authentic person. Of course, this is merely an illusion. Jasper Devereaux is an arrogant, entitled dirtbag, nothing more. I can't believe I just jeopardized my favorite trade spot for him. He demands to know why I pulled a knife on him instead of just telling him he was in danger. I explain to him that the reason for the dagger was glaringly obvious if you consider the way he acted when I did use it.
