When life throws you a lemon tree what are you expected to do with all those lemons? After all you can only make so much lemonade with them. It's a thought provoking book on the many ways life can be difficult even frustrating when it comes to getting anywhere where you need to go because there are so many, many obstacles just waiting jump out at you and trip you over. Nonetheless not all life is trying to thwart you, there are times when everything flows and appears to work out perfectly. There is much wisdom to be learnt and through the pages where several of those who feel like throwing their hands up in surrender when we all begin to understand what this is all about; this thing called life!

What my mother neglected to tell me during my studies was that you don't always get what you want, the outcome you think is coming doesn't always happen, and when the smoke clears, you're always going to be the last one standing. By the end of The Certainty, Georgiana Vertigo is left with nothing more than her life, something many people would be more than happy to have. However, Georgiana is left to her own devices in a strange city, alone and heartbroken with regular intense bouts of depression. In starting a new life with the Guild, Georgiana has everything she needs in order to move on with her life and keep her mind off the past. Only problem is, the past is never truly forgotten and no matter how hard you try to shake them, the feelings that go along with the memories don't just fade away. ~ * ~ Alright, chickens.
