In the year 2509, over sixty years since the invention of time travel, the timeline is constantly monitored and policed by Tempiral Security. Commander William Herschel, a vampire with an exemplary career in the organisation, inadvertently discovers that someone is using time travel for smuggling. But when he is apprehended for the crime with the evidence pointing against him, he is convicted and sentenced to exile in Earth's distant past for the term of his long vampire life. Never one to give up, he immediately starts working on a way to return to his own time to prove his innocence.
Meanwhile, his friends and colleagues in the twenty sixth century endeavour to find the real perpetrator. Only if they can exonerate him before he is lost to ancient history can they bring him home.
William must learn to survive in the past without his vampire presence impacting human history if he hopes to return to his life in the future and discover who's behind the smuggling and to what end.
