This is the short story of a man named Ladislas Godfrey Latham. Ladislas is 27 years old and is a slave to the Monarch: King and Queen of Vortgem. Ladislas Godfrey also wants to put an end to slavery and to end the wars; (battles): which take place in Rasequin's Court, in front of Rasequin Castle.
But he only has one chance to impress the King and Queen; he is a Jester (entertainer) by day, but a Knight (Soldier) of the night.
"Oh and did I mention anything about slaying a dragon?"
He has only one chance, one night to shine as a Knight!
"Will he live or will he die?"
It all starts at dusk.
