In the year 4784 a nuclear war broke out. All survivors were sent to the country of what was England but is now called Fretacre. Over the centuries English became the dominant language and all others were mostly forgotten. Now in the year of 5672 after life seems to be adjusted and completely over the war there a major bacterial disease that is released, and is killing off everyone of the age 35 or older. Those who are between the ages 16 and 24 are all gathered and names put into a bowl. They will all either be either forced to marry and have a child, forced to go into the work field, or forced to take care of the olders until all are dead or somehow healed.
