Sirius, the brightest star fell on Earth as he wished to have a mortal life. Luckily, he got to marry the woman who helped him as he wandered into his new home. As he was granted his wish, he was also granted a gift which would be passed on unto his eigteenth offspring.
On the nineteenth generation, the Gift would be gone and that's the only time they could really be considered as mortals. As they are not completely human, they don't have a heart to love like humans do and they don't cry at all.
