Jeremiah the Fifth was a lowly villager, the son of the hamlet's best healers not that there were any others. He trained under the guidance of his father, Jeremiah the Fourth, commonly referred to as Healer J, for the first 15 years of his insignificant life.
He spent most of his spare time with Hearth the village 'storyteller'. Hearth was an old man of around in his 60's who had traveled far and wide in his youth completing many quests all over Glorantha. Jeremiah liked just to sit and listen to Hearth's tales with the odd question and interjection.
It was when Jeremiah had just turned fifteen years of age that Hearth murdered by a mysterious stranger one blowy winter night. That is where this story begins.
This is the backstory to Jeremiah the Fifth a character I play in the Role Playing Game, Runequest. The chapters are very short as this is my first book.
I also don't now much about Glorantha the world in which this story is set so it might be a bit off. I hope you enjoy the story anyway.

The Drafted Reality and Dreams
It was a dark cold night-the night where the birds lay dead on the cold ground, listening in to the deceased whispers. This is the night where blood was once spilled. Jeremy hid behind a tree, holding on his thigh-his thigh was bleeding as he got stabbed. Jeremy looked at his wound, cursing under his breath. Jeremy looked around to see if anyone was nearby, there wasn't anyone nearby but he could hear the screaming of his pals. He could do nothing but to weep, he got out of his hiding spot and went deeper into the woods. He was wincing in pain as he dragged his injured leg. It was dark, too dark to the point even the moonlight couldn't provide light. Jeremy tripped over a tree root, he winced in pain, squeezing his injured thigh in pain. He soon heard a twig being snapped close to him. He pulled himself together, getting back on his feet. Dragging his leg once more. This time he raised the pace, panicking as he knew that he was being followed. He soon came across an abandoned truck that was in a small field. He smiled in relief, getting inside of the truck. He heard movement from his right, seeing a silhouette of a being that was coming closer to him. He panicked, climbing to the other seat to close the door. Once the door was closed, he locked the doors-backing away after. The door handle was being pulled aggressively but soon stopped. He took off his jacket and wrapped it around his thigh, he winced in pain as he made it tight. He looked around the truck, trying not to move too much. He eventually found a pen and a piece of paper. The need for Adventure
This is a babtqftim x Reader thing. Idk I just got interested. However! There will be some heavy differences since I am including two new Characters! Y/N (You) and her best friend Eclipse. (I included myself bc I wanted to.) Background- Y/N is a beautiful young women who was always interested in adventure, she always enjoyed reading novels about adventure, and watching TV about people with Adventures. She always told Eclipse how she wanted to go on an adventure of a lifetime. She would get in trouble when she would run away to find that adventure but Eclipse always saved her and brought her home safely. Her and Eclipse had never been separated. Eclipse- Eclipse is a Wolf with a terrifying secret that she hasn't told anyone. Not even Y/N. However, one thing that is obvious, she is very protective of Y/N. She cares deeply since she was kicked out of her original pack after her parents died. She told Y/N that was the reason why she was kicked, but that wasn't the full truth. She always accompanied Y/N during her little "Adventures" as children but now they are grown up and she's only become more protective. One day something strange happened. Y/N and Eclipse had met a group of people going on a quest. When one of them start flirting with Y/N, Eclipse gets defensive and ends up getting hurt. After some explanation there is a deal. To make it fair Y/N suggested that her and Eclipse get to go on the quest and help them. Jasper stiffens in his seat as I press the metal of the blade against his back. "Don't say a word. Come with me, right now." Of course, he doesn't listen. I had hoped a dagger to the kidney would be incentive enough, but even the threat of death doesn't graze a Devereaux ego. He turns toward me to argue, facing away from the goon that's been eyeing him across the bar. I doubt he even noticed. The man whispers something to his sketchy friend, pointing at Jasper. No time for discussion. I grab his arm and press the tip of the knife harder, just barely breaking the skin. He winces, realizing I mean business, and gets up. The idiot prince seems to finally get the memo, running alongside me until we're a safe distance away. "What the hell was that about?" his ragged breaths take the sting out of his words. I've never seen him like this before. Cheeks red, chest heaving, hunched over himself on the stump of a tree. For once, he looks like an authentic person. Of course, this is merely an illusion. Jasper Devereaux is an arrogant, entitled dirtbag, nothing more. I can't believe I just jeopardized my favorite trade spot for him. He demands to know why I pulled a knife on him instead of just telling him he was in danger. I explain to him that the reason for the dagger was glaringly obvious if you consider the way he acted when I did use it.
