THE INEVITABLE END WITH FAILURE.
Sometimes your best friends can be your greatest enemies. This is not the case. Sometimes they are your biggest secrets.
Trish has a normal teenage life. She has a group of friends, a boyfriend, and a car. Her group of friends entailed: Fran, Rickie, Emma, Elizabeth, Leon, and Jason. They all met their freshmen year of High school and all been inseparable since. Then on their sophomore year Trish met her boyfriend Gabriel. From the group Leon and Jason were the only ones that weren't in a relationship for most of their high school years. Leon always looked like a ladies man because literally all the girls knew who he was even when he didn't know them. Jason was just the underdog no girl really liked him and the ones that dated him only did out of pity so his relationships didn't last long.
The thing about their group that made them so unique was that they told each other everything and yet they never told anyone anything.
They all had their little secrets that even though they were all best friends those secrets were never shared, that is how the group managed to stay friends for so long. These secrets were either so shocking, disturbing, or some even plain unimaginable that most were ashamed and others smart about what they said and what they didn't.
Everyone was not willing to lose the rest. All the years of being together made everyone co-dependent of each other and of the whole set up of their group. They had many names and sometimes they referred to themselves as a crew, family, gang, etc. In many circumstances they were each and yet none. They shared houses, food, dreams, but never secrets.
Friends are always there but the moment you stop being friends is the moment they are no longer there when you need them. -L.P.
