"Bye..." He said softly, looking away from me.
"Please stay" I begged, my vision foggy as tears came to my eyes.
"I-I'm Sorry Zelda... I'm only putting you in danger" Link said, and before I could stop him, he got on Epona, and rode off.
"Link..." I said softly, falling on the ground, letting my tears fall down my face freely.

After the Great Calamity, Link was torn, believing that he put Zelda in danger, and that it was his fault.
A year later he finally decided to leave, Zelda, heart-broken, tried to get him to stay, but he wouldn't listen.
When something odd starts happening around Hyrule, Zelda starts to search for Link, but for more than the one reason, She hasn't been the same since he left. She needs him, and she won't stop until he's found.
"You're different from what I expected," she said softly.
"How so?" he asked, glancing at her.
"I don't know," she replied, searching for the right words. "You just... have this way of making people feel like they matter. Even here, in this... nightmare."
He was quiet for a moment before responding. "You matter, Y/n. Don't forget that."
