In their high school's bustling halls, Saranyu was known for her distant demeanor, a frosty facade that seemed to repel any attempt at warmth or connection. Despite her icy exterior, she held a hidden longing, a silent hope for something more beneath the surface. Enter Rudra, the new kid with a heart of gold. From the moment he arrived, he made it his mission to break through Saranyu's barriers with his unwavering kindness. He went out of his way to help her, to make her smile, but no matter what he did, Saranyu remained distant, her true feelings kept tightly guarded. Chhaya, Saranyu's childhood friend, watched their dynamic with a mix of concern and affection. She knew the real Saranyu, the one behind the icy mask, and she longed to see her friend find happiness. Meanwhile, Aksha, another childhood friend, struggled to understand Saranyu's aloofness. Despite their shared history, he found himself unable to penetrate the walls she had built around herself. As Rudra's efforts to reach Saranyu's heart continued, Aksha's jealousy grew. He couldn't bear to see Rudra getting closer to Saranyu, especially when he harbored feelings for her himself. In a moment of desperation, he tried to sabotage Rudra's plans, but Chhaya inadvertently foiled his attempts. As Aksha's actions threatened to push him over the edge, Chhaya intervened, refusing to let him become someone he wasn't. Through her guidance, Aksha began to see the error of his ways, and he eventually let go of his jealousy and accepted the bond between Rudra and Saranyu. In the end, their shared experiences brought them closer together, fostering mutual trust, sympathy, and empathy. And as they stood on the brink of a new chapter, they realized that sometimes, understanding and forgiveness are the keys to forging lasting connections. But... would it last forever?

******* Every story has an end. But in life, every end is a new beginning.******* ------------------------------------------------------------ His voice was a little shaky now and I could see how he struggled to even keep his eyes open. But what he spoke next shook me completely. "You know, It was very difficult in the start to convince her. Ananya had a line of billionaires waiting for her. And I was at the end. But I guess the highest bidder always wins. You pay her more and she is yours." I stared at him in disbelief. It was quite embarrassing for me and it certainly did make others uncomfortable too. I decided to excuse myself, but he held onto my hand. "Oh am sorry. I was just kidding sweetheart. Sit my love. Sit with me." His shaky voice spoke those words but I knew he didn't mean them. Or did he? --------------------------------------------------------------- This story is about Ananya, a girl from India trying to build a new life in US. This is her journey as she tries to build a life on the ruins of her past. A past she never speaks of, a past that still haunts her. She only has Mrs. Donavan as her family and Alex as her best friend who secretly is in love with her.
