DJ has a past; everyone has a past. But not everyone's is as painful as hers. Her childhood was cut short at the age of thirteen. She's made it to college now. In a new country. With new people. She runs into a guy one day and then finds her life changing even more as he forces his way into her life, determined to get to know her. Slowly, he breaks through her tough exterior and its not until she realises how she feels about him does she realise she's let all her walls down. But she's quick to put them all back up, worried that her past is catching up and will yank him from her if she's not careful.
