"I don't know if I can do this anymore..." Betty said, wiping a tear from her eye. *** Meet Betty, your average sixteen year old girl. She's new to Riverdale, and things seem to be a bit off... In a taunting voice, Reggie added, "Gee, Betty, it must be hard having a crush on some loner who doesn't even like girls." Betty raised her eyebrows, wordlessly commanding him to leave. "Did you hear me, Goldilocks?" "Oh I heard you, I just don't care. Time for you to leave, Reggie, you're not getting anywhere with me." On the outside, Betty Cooper was the perfect girl. A straight A student, sweet and kind, a play-by-the-rules kind of girl. Archie Andrews was her next door neighbor and best friend, athletically inclined, and though somewhat lacking in intellect, he was sincere and devoted. They were the epitome of the perfect couple, and everyone couldn't help but believe that Archie and Betty, young though they were, would someday end up together. But in this group there was another friend, Jughead Jones, a cynical, sardonic aspiring writer. He didn't always feel like he fit it with Betty and Archie. But somehow, he felt like he belonged with them, though he couldn't place why.
