Fire. All I can remember is fire. And warm brown eyes. I knew who they belonged to. Liam. The name rolled off my tongue like a sweet melody. But what once was a sweet melody, turned to a sour one. He forgot me. And I can't move on. I'm trying. I'm trying so fucking hard. But it's hard. Especially when I meet him again. © 2014 @tinytxmmo

The news broke like a wave, drowning everything else in its path. Liam Payne, gone. I stared at the screen, heart in pieces, trying to grasp that the boy who had once brought me so much joy would never sing again, never smile again. There was no warning, no chance to say goodbye. "If only..." I whispered, clutching their iPod as tears slipped down my cheeks. "If only I could have stopped it..." The words hung in the air, heavy with a yearning so intense it almost felt tangible. The room blurred around them, and before I could process what was happening, everything went dark. When the world came back into focus, I wasn't sitting in my room anymore. The familiar hum of city life faded away, replaced by the soft strum of a guitar and a voice I knew all too well. "You're insecure, don't know what for..." My breath hitched. It couldn't be... Liam.
